Cheerleaders

Cheerleaders

Where does the week go, I thought it was Wednesday, but it’s Thursday already!.  I get so lost in thought while creating journals, and of course I’m always looking for ideas for this blog, that I have to remind myself to get away from the computer and connect with people.  Even this introvert needs a little people time…lol

I did just that the other day, with a young woman I used to work retail with.  She has gone back to school and things are going well for her after a bumpy patch in her life.

During our conversation she told me of a friend of hers in school, graduated as she has, that did so without any emotional support from family.

She has nobody in her corner.

I couldn’t believe it.  How sad to not have family cheerleaders.  Those members of family that give a pat on the back for a job well done.

My friend posted on social media how well her school mate had done, and before you knew it, her post was getting likes and messages to pass on to the school mate to let her know that she wasn’t alone, and congratulated her on her success.

A whole group of us rallied around her.  She now has cheerleaders.

Goes to show cheerleaders can be complete strangers wishing you well.

It’s all about giving a hand to help and encourage other women.  The whole pay it forward kind of thing.

If someone takes the time to cheer you on, then when you get an opportunity to do the same for someone else….Do It!  It’s a win for everybody.

We would all be better off if we could be cheerleaders for others when they need it.

By doing this, she felt a sense of pride in her accomplishments against the odds.

The perfect women helping and supporting other women to thrive situation.

And in the future she will hopefully feel that she can take on the world, knowing she has her own cheerleaders wishing her well!

Life Experience Wisdom

* Pay it forward

* A kind word of encouragement goes a long way, do it whenever you can.

* Family or complete stranger, we can all use a cheerleader.

Thanks again for visiting,

Cheers til next time

My Motto

When life throws baseball size lemons at you, that smack you upside the head, stomp on those damn things and make yourself a cocktail!
