Life Lemons Suck…Sometimes!
Some life lemons are sneaky. They wait and hide until you least expect it, then one day when all is going well, they jump out and scare the hell out of you!
I had one such lemon think it would be fun to do just that the other day.
I was working away on my journals and then it hit me…I had made a rookie mistake in editing! What the actual hell!? I know better!
I couldn’t believe it, then the overwhelmies and frustration set in. I had to stop and think it through…how it fix it?!?
Ok the overwhelmies got me good…
So what to do…Sit and spin in my chair is what I did!
I realized I hadn’t had a break for quite a while, (which is likely why I messed up).
So I figured I better get up and I went for a walk.
That always calms me down. Think and walk, think and walk.
Aha! That’s it, I knew how to fix it.
So I get back to my desk, fire up the computer again…
Well that idea for fixing didn’t work after all!
At this point I swear I hear life lemons laughing at me saying….”Gotcha! Ha Ha…”
By the end of the day, I realize I need to let it go for the day.
Tomorrow is a new day to figure out a solution.
New day new start I say!
You know what lemons??!! You will not win!!
I will do a complete makeover for the project I was working on!
And by the end of that day, I was even happier with my project than I was before with the first edition!
It took extra time and energy, but was worth it.
Take that life lemons!
Like my Motto…I took that lemon and stomped on the damn thing and made myself a cocktail! Lol
Funny thing is..without that life lemon smacking me in the face, I wouldn’t have come up with the better idea for my project!
It’s all in how you handle those life lemons when they come at you!
Remember to take time and think it through, without rushing for a solution.
The answer will come when it’s ready.
And that idea lead to another idea I plan to use!
It was like getting double rewards from one lemon…LOL
Life…a never ending learning experience!
