Nothing Changes Until…

Nothing Changes Until…

Well here I sit pen in hand writing earlier in the week than what I usually do…as I have no internet!

(As always…articles are written well in advance)

And everything I go to do is internet related.  (Guess it’s a good thing I always write out my articles by hand first!)

It went out while watching t.v. last night, no problem, I’ll listen to some music…nope that comes from internet land.

Well then I’ll play games on my tablet…nope they come from internet land too.  Hell’s bells, I’ll just go to bed!

And that brings me to now, next morning, and still no internet.  I remembered I had a little portable battery radio stashed somewhere, so here I am listening to that while I write.

I don’t do quiet in the house well, I need something in the background, even if it’s just my pretend fireplace or aquarium channel on the t.v.  Quiet outside is fine.  I can listen to the quiet in nature all day long.  Go figure!

Ok…on to a topic.  I pull out my journal of ideas and come across a quote I like, so let’s see what I can do with that.

Nothing Changes Until Something Changes

Oh wow, I love this one!  It’s so true in so many ways.  Whether it’s being in a bad relationship and needing to get out, being in a job that just doesn’t work anymore, or just feeling stuck in a rut…nothing will change until you decide to make a change!

For me that “feeling of stuck” is overwhelming, and I have learned that I need to make that change to keep my sanity.

And as scary as change is, not changing…being stuck…can be even scarier.

Feeling stuck and making those needed changes has led me to learn new things and grow.

Without change I never would have started this blog.  As I’ve said before, it’s my mental health meds.  Writing things out makes a person feel better.

I have learned so much techno stuff with my computer. Lol

I’ve gone from being “Techno Mom” (sarcasm from my son years ago because all I knew about computers was how to turn it on!) to learning software editing with many different programs, (four so far? And I have my eye on another one…lol), making my own website, designing and making journals and coloring books, doing computer maintenance like installing security features, and even recovering data that I deleted by mistake!  Big oops there!  So I had to learn how to get it back!

My point being if you aren’t happy with what you are doing day to day…make a plan to make a change!

Even small changes can lead to feeling better, and they can lead to bigger changes if you want.  That is up to you!

Start small if need be, try something new and see where it goes.  Or go all in and turn your life upside down and see what sticks!  LOL  It all depends on your comfort level.

Change can be a really good thing, you just have to have the courage to try!

And you will find your stepping stones.

You try, you succeed, (or you fail, learn, try again)

You gain confidence

You feel better about yourself

You believe you can do anything!

That’s a win to me!

Ok that’s it for today, I’m off to buy more pens again! (they just don’t put enough ink in them anymore!)

As always, thanks for visiting!

Cheer til next time,

Grace

My Motto

When life throws baseball size lemons at you, that smack you upside the head, stomp on those damn things and make yourself a cocktail!
