Mindful Moments

Mindful Moments

I started a little side project a while ago and I thought I’d share it here on The Life Lemon Dodge for this week’s article.

I find the older I get, the simpler I want my life to be. Which means I can focus on what I want to do, and this reduces the stress in my life, which leads to greater peace of mind…and who doesn’t want more of that!

So I started a list in my journal of small things that make me happy and it reminds me to stop and be in the moment.

I add one thing to the list at the end of each day.

This is my list so far…

* Standing outside at night watching the moon, listening to the crickets.

* Listening to the water washing up on shore on a windy day when I’m out walking.

* Watching the bees on my pots of flowers.

* Watching Monarch butterflies flying from flower to flower.

* Falling asleep with the window open, listening to the rain.

* Being snuggled up on the sofa with a dog on one side, and a cat on the other.

* Laughing until my eyes overflow with tears and my sides hurt.

* Wandering in a greenhouse.

* That first cup of coffee in the morning.

* A drive in the country with farm fields as far as the eye can see.

* A day out with Bestie J.  (We still need to get out to that goat farm!  lol)

So that’s some of my list,  it will be fun to see what it looks like in a year!

I hope this inspires you to start your own list, and reminds you to make time for your own mindful moments!

My Motto
