Make Yourself Over as Needed
This week’s life lesson is courtesy of another night of insomnia. Some nights I can say to my dude…”I have to go to bed, I can’t keep my eyes open.” Then as soon as my head hits the pillow I’m wide awake, my mind starts racing around the track, doing laps around all the topics in my head.
I go over the different ideas I’ve had, and even start writing (in my head, not on actual paper) the beginning of an article, always hoping I can remember enough of it to continue the next day.
So what I’ve come up with is this…
Make yourself over as often as needed.
Don’t beat yourself up over starting again.
I think that’s the key lesson here. A person has to live and learn and reinvent themselves when it’s in their best interest.
It does you no good to stay unhappy and stuck when you could be much happier after working through a plan to switch it up and make yourself over.
Big changes or small ones, it’s up to you to do as needed.
You can make yourself over out of necessity, getting out of a bad living arrangement, or you could just need a change to make yourself feel better mentally.
I’ve needed to do both.
A bad living arrangement a few years ago led me to get a job for extra money and to have references to secure an apartment on my own.
And every once in a while I just need to change up my routine, try something new and see where it goes.
As I’ve said before, that’s the reason for doing this blog and making journals.
It feels better mentally to change your routine out for a new one every once in a while.
Or if you need to make big changes in your life, make a plan, step by step to get there.
So take stock of your life every once in a while to see if things are going as you want.
If they are, that’s great! And if not, switch it up and see what happens!
Life Experience Wisdom
* Make yourself over as many times as you want. It’s your life!
* Never beat yourself up for starting over or trying something new.
* Embrace the change for better mental health and personal growth.
That’s it for this week, thanks for visiting, cheers til next time.
