From The Nonsense File…”You Complete Me”
This past week I heard a line that I hadn’t heard for a long time. “You Complete Me”
I swear I gagged when I heard the woman say it. (I was eavesdropping on a walk again)
I shook my head and said out loud…I didn’t just hear what I thought I heard.
I thought this thinking had gone from a woman’s vocabulary, that young and old alike had grown past this archaic thinking, but sadly it seems I was wrong.
So I will remind young women and the old like myself that grew up with this nonsense way of thinking that…
You are complete all on your own!
Scream it out loud and tell all your girlfriends!
One more thought that you can stash in the nonsense file folder to be put through the shredder at the end of the day.
Now this may make for a great line in a movie, or for song lyrics, but in real life…it doesn’t fly.
To complete one’s self, implies you are not a whole person to begin with. So are you just suppose to wait around to find someone else to make you whole?
I think not girlies!
To me this borders on dangerous thinking. It can also imply you are waiting for someone else to help heal or fix what ails you.
You must be your own hero in your own life.
You are your own fixer.
You may compliment someone in a relationship, but not complete….there is a difference.
You are not less of a person on your own.
Always remember you are whole and enough!
Life Experience Wisdom
This is short and to the point this week as it belongs in the no brainer file for me.
* You are whole all on your own. With or without a partner.
* You are enough.
* You complete you…Sing it loud and proud girl!

Help remind them or yourself, that you are a complete person all on your own.
Thank you to all the strong women that walk before and among us, reminding us who we are!
That’s it for this week, stand tall…walk proud and be grateful!
Cheers til next week!
