It’s Ok to Quit

It’s Ok to Quit

I was cruising online looking for “let’s chat about it” topics and I came across a good one.

The topic of…It’s Ok to Quit!

Now I’ve said lots of times to try again, rest not quit etc, so why do I think this now?

Well I think both are correct in the right circumstances.

If you set your mind to something, try and it doesn’t work, try again, learn and try once more and it works, then yippee for you!

But if you try over and over and get nowhere and suddenly think, maybe I want something else, then that’s ok too.

You get to decide, no one else.

If you change your mind and choose to focus on something else, then quitting is fine.

Quitting is not a four letter word…(you know what I mean).

If what you are focusing on no longer makes sense or no longer serves a purpose for you…then stop doing it!

Society puts a lot of pressure on people to “not be a quitter”, so much so that people end up continuing to be miserable doing something that has no joy or purpose for them.

Think of quitting something as more of a course correction.

Here’s where changing your mindset comes into play again.

I’m big on mind set.

Giving up on something and changing course can lead to your better mental health as well.

Feeling miserable doing something you don’t enjoy, does nothing for your mental health.

So break free of that way of thinking, and focus on a new course of action.

You’ll feel better if you do.

Keep telling yourself it’s ok to choose a new path.

As I’ve said before…

You live with what you think and how you feel…no one else!

You do you!

Short and to the point this week.

Life Experience Wisdom

*  Quitting is course correction.  Change your mind set about how you think in regard to quitting something.

*  You answer to you, don’t let others dictate how you feel about quitting something that no longer serves you.

That’s it for this week, keep challenging yourself, but if it starts messing with your peace of mind…let it go!

Thanks for stopping by, Cheers til next week!

My Motto

When life throws baseball size lemons at you, that smack you upside the head, stomp on those damn things and make yourself a cocktail!
