Success – What Does It Mean To You?
“Success isn’t about
how your life looks to others,
It’s about
how it feels to you”
-Michelle Obama
I love this quote. Wise words from a wise woman.
It’s all about being you, which is music to my ears.
As I say…Empowered women inspire others to thrive.
Success will be very different for everyone.
For the professional woman, breaking through the “glass ceiling” is a major success.
And for a stay at home mom, getting a herd of kids to eat all the vegetables on their plates and into bed before the stroke of midnight (without pulling out all her hair) is a successful day!
Or if you made it out of bed when you aren’t feeling well, you had a successful day.
For me getting my bloomers on one leg at a time without falling over can be a win.
Different people have different success stories.
And each one is a meaningful win.
There is no need to compare success stories either.
We all lead different lives, so it only makes sense to have different wins!
Enjoy the feeling of a win, big or small, without wondering how it compares to someone else.
Once you start comparing your success to another person, you may feel let down or begin to doubt your worth.
Stop doing that! Just stop!
Your success should be enjoyed, and you should feel proud and grateful.
Hold your head high, say out loud…
“I just had a success moment and it feels great!”
Do a little happy dance to celebrate and carry on with your day.
This is another short and sweet and to the point no brainer reminder for you!
So have a think about it.
What does success look like to you?

My Motto
When life throws baseball size lemons at you, that smack you upside the head, stomp on those damn things and make yourself a cocktail!
