Go With Your Gut

Go With Your Gut

A reminder life lesson this week, to always go with your gut when coming to a fork in the road of life.

Listen to what your gut is trying to tell you.

Not your head alone, but your head and gut can work together.

And I’m not a big supporter of listening to your heart.

It’s just too damn mushy, it’s like trying to walk a life path up to your cheeks in quicksand.  And when the quicksand turns to cement you are stuck, as the heart isn’t very good at looking ahead.

Your gut on the other hand is like an all knowing intuition master guardian angel.  It will relentlessly poke at you to help guide your decisions.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had my gut steer me away from a bad situation, and thankfully I’ve listened.

The odd time I haven’t listened I’ve kicked myself and I could hear my gut saying “I told you so.”

So I chalked it up to a lesson learned and moved on.

You’ll know your gut is communicating with you when your body shows these signs.

* A thought or idea regarding a decision that needs attention, that is constantly gnawing at you causing tension in your body.

* The pit of your stomach feels heavy and uneasy.

And in a safety situation, the hairs on your neck may stand on end and you may feel a need to avoid an area or situation.

It’s like your gut senses danger and is doing its best to keep you safe.

You just have to listen.

Be mindful of when your gut is talking to you.

This comes with practice of self awareness.  Take a minute to be still and listen to what it’s trying to tell you.

It’s an empowering feeling listening to your gut.

And one of the best self care practices you can do!

Life Experience Wisdom

*  Your gut, or intuition…whatever you want to call it,  knows best.

*  It’s a wonderful powerful voice to follow.

That’s it for this week, I’m doing a little more gardening these days, and I think I’ll go check for weeds.

Look after yourselves girlies!

Cheers til next week,

Grace

My Motto

When life throws baseball size lemons at you, that smack you upside the head, stomp on those damn things and make yourself a cocktail!
