Milestones in Life

Milestones in Life

As I sit down at my desk to write this week’s article I see that it is number 104. (yes I have them numbered in my notebook.)

Which by my calculations with writer’s math means that I have been writing for two years! (if one a week for two years equals  52+52= 104)

So I thought it would be fitting to look back and reflect on how far I’ve come in those two years.

We all hope for growth in our lives, and I find it helps to look back to see how far I have come and be grateful for the progress and all the good things that have happened.

It not only gives me a sense of accomplishment but inspires me to keep seeking ways to learn and grow.

Always remember to celebrate the small wins along with the major wins.

You get to give yourself a pat on the back for finally buying your first home, and you also get a pat on the back for getting the laundry washed, dried and put away all in one day too!

When I say “how far I’ve come” I mean how I have grown, how much more resilient I am, how much more relaxed and less stressed about life I am now.

I know that I can handle whatever comes my way.

It is actually quite empowering to realize how I have changed over a few years.

Gratitude is a big part of this too.  Being grateful just seems to bring more positive into my life.

The expression “Don’t look back, you aren’t going that way” is valid, it reminds you to not get stuck or stay in the past. But looking back to see how far you have come, how much you have grown emotionally and improved is valid too.

Just remember to keep moving forward.

Always remember sweet soul that life is a journey, slow down enough to acknowledge how much you have overcome to get to where you are now!

Give thanks and continue on your path in life.

Keep growing and discovering how amazing you really are!

Life Experience Wisdom

*  My look back includes

Learning and doing this blog. (I’ve gone through four notebooks and 213 pens…give or take.)

*  Learning and making journals for Amazon.

*  Doing a five hour drive, one way, by myself, to visit my daughter and granddaughter. (A hear me roar moment for sure.) It was a first!

*  Being able to take a chance letting my “Dude” into my life. (The last relationship was bad.)

Take a look back at your own accomplishments and give yourself a pat on the back!

Well that’s it for this week.

Keep learning and growing!

Cheers til next week

My Motto

When life throws baseball size lemons at you, that smack you upside the head, stomp on those damn things and make yourself a cocktail!
