Tough Life – Excuse or Motivation
Sometimes those sour life lemons come at us like rapid fire. It can be overwhelming.
My question to you this week is, Do you use them as an excuse to keep you stuck or do you use them as fuel to drive you forward to success?
Acknowledge Difficulties
Difficult or traumatic experiences in our lives leave us with emotional scars.
Ignoring what they do to us doesn’t make them go away. These scars deserve recognition. But it is easy to let these hardships become the excuse that you live your life by.
When some people that have had a rough life use excuses to deal with life, they often stunt their own personal growth and don’t live up to their potential.
Rather than choose to deal with life lemons, they fall into the blame game by saying things like “I’ve had it harder than everyone else.” “Things never go my way.”
Mindset Shift
Now you have two choices, one – stay your course of woe is me, or two – make a pivot to a positive mindset and decide to rewrite your own story.
Changing your mindset this way in no way diminishes your pain.
Think of it as recognizing your resilience and courage to change your life for the better.
Always remember you can’t control what traumatic experience has happened to you in the past, but you do have control of how you respond now!
Leave Pain for Power
Here are a few helpful ideas to get you started.

Acknowledge Your Pain
*Don’t bury it, seek therapy.
*Talk it out with a friend.
*Journal out your feelings.
Change Your Mindset
*Switch out negative self talk with positive thoughts.
*Turn thoughts of “I can’t” to “I will learn how”
Role Models
*Make sure you have a supportive community around you.
*Look for role models with similar struggles for inspiration.
Celebrate Small Wins
*Changes don’t happen overnight. One step at a time is how anything gets done.
*So celebrate your progress, no matter how small.
If you are tired of living the woe is me life, then make the choice to shift your mindset to a positive one.
That choice is up to you, you have the control to do so.

Life Experience Wisdom
* Your struggles are part of your life, but they don’t have to have the final say.
* When you know better, you do better.
That is it for this week, get out and be amazing!
Cheers til next week,
Grace
