Failure is a Gift

Failure is a Gift

Most times we view failure as something bad and something to avoid.

But what if we change our mindset, once again, to view failure as a good thing, an actual gift!

We shouldn’t dread failure, but see it as simply a stepping stone to get to the end result that we want.

Failure should be a sign of risks and pushing boundaries that we have attempted.

It should be a sign of effort, not a sign that we are inadequate.

Failure – Resilience

One of the best gifts of failure is resilience.  The ability to keep getting up after we are knocked down is a skill that we need in every part of our lives.

When we fail at something we learn to deal with disappointment, frustration, and we adapt to the changing circumstances.

Therefore we build our emotional strength and mental toughness.

Resilience is all about growing through our difficulties.

Failure – Growth

Failing at something makes us see our weaknesses, areas where we can improve and learn.

I always say it’s never a failure if we learn and grow from a situation that didn’t go as planned the first time.

I go through life now not expecting to get everything right on the first try.

If it does work out the first time that’s great!

But if not, then I look at it as a practice run and I’ll try again.

Failure can be a form of feedback for us, make adjustments and try again.  It gives us a chance to adapt, learn and grow.

The fear of failure is the enemy, not failing it’s self. Think about that for a minute.

So change up your mindset to think of failure as a tool to achieve what you want.

Ask yourself what you need to learn to improve and grow forward.

It’s time to start thinking of failure as part of the process, and not the end and final result!

Life Experience Wisdom

*  Mindset change time!  Get rid of your fear of failure.

*  Failure is a chance to look at how you can learn and grow.

*  Everyone fails at something at some point in their lives, you aren’t alone.

That’s it for this week, get out and try something new and remember if you fail, you learn, try again to keep growing forward!

Cheers til next week,

Grace

My Motto
