Bad Day – It’s Ok
Let’s get real, some days just suck.
And you know what?
That’s Ok!
We live in a world that celebrates always “being on.”
I love to tell people that they can “do it.” Push through and you’ll feel wonderful. And you will.
But I also what to tell you that we are all humans, not machines.
And the fact is that not all days are going to be full of happy puppies and fluffy unicorns!
Some days are going to be downright crappy!
We should stop thinking we need to be happy and get one hundred tasks done by the end of every day.
We all go through highs and lows, joy and sadness, motivation and burn out.
And we need to allow ourselves, give ourselves permission to feel crappy without feeling guilty.

We should remind ourselves that we aren’t going to stay stuck there until end of our days.
If I fall when I’m out in the woods walking, I’m not going to think, oh hell, guess I’m stuck laying here til I die!
No, I’m going to get back up, shake it off and continue on with my walk. We should approach our bad days this way.
Now having said that, emotions need to be acknowledged. You should allow your bad feelings space, just like you do your good feelings.
It may sound like an old lady think to say, but we need bad days to full appreciate the good ones. Bad days put our lives into perspective, so we are grateful for better days to come.
I want you to remember that having a bad day is just that, a day. It doesn’t define who you are.
I find the best way to move forward is to feel the emotions, and just let yourself rest and recover.
If all you do on a bad day is get out of bed, and go to the bathroom, then head back to bed, then that’s ok.
Accept your bad days as part of life’s journey.
Tomorrow is a new day, let’s call it a reset button day.
In the grand scheme of your life, it’s just a bump to get past so you can continue to move forward.
*Disclaimer
