Change Your Life, Change the World
Yesterday I was clever so I wanted to change the world.
Today I am wise so I am changing myself.
Rumi
I have what I’ll call a short and sweet reflection for you this week.
I was in a poetry mood the other day, and this poem happened to come along.
This poem by thirteenth century poet Rumi is one that would change the world, if people would apply it to their lives. (in my humble opinion)
Some people want to change the world. But wouldn’t it be great if they realized we only have to change ourselves in order to make the world a better place.

If each person spent more time making themselves a better version of who they are, the world would be so much happier.
Now let me clarify what I mean by that.
To me a better version could be changing up these mindsets to be a better person.
Instead of apathy, try empathy.
Instead of being greedy, be giving.
Instead of being a sad sack, be cheerful.
Instead of being stubborn, be adaptable.
Instead of being ungrateful, be grateful.
And the last one…instead of being a pessimist, be an optimist.
These are just a few that would make a huge difference in the world.
(But maybe that’s just me wearing my rose colored glasses again) You can check out that article here Rose Colored Glasses
The world changes one person at a time taking responsibility for their actions and doing their best to make it a better place for themselves, which in turn makes the world better. Why do non rocket science moments have to be so hard??

Life Experience Wisdom
* Changing the world for the better starts with changing ourselves to be a better person.
So that’s what I was thinking and reflecting on as I walked the woods on a snowy day!
That’s it for this week,
Try changing one thing about yourself for the better this week!
Cheers til next week,
Grace
My Motto
When life throws baseball size lemons at you, that smack you upside the head, stomp on those damn things and make yourself a cocktail!
