Time and Choices
The past is the past, there’s no changing that.
But what if you had a blank canvas with the words “Your Future” in big bold letters written across the top?
Well guess what, you do!
When we come into this world we are given time and choices.
And as we grow we learn that we have choices and consequences. Whatever we do has a consequence, an action either good or bad as a result of what we do.
Let’s just leave the past alone and concentrate on the future shall we!
The Gift of Time
It’s easy to put off doing what you dream of doing whether it’s something big or small. But the thought of “one day” can easily turn into years later if you keep procrastinating.
And before you know it, your thoughts have turned to, “where did the time go?”
Time doesn’t wait around for you to get your act together.
When you value your time it makes you better able to live in the moment and do things with intention.
It’s easy to fall into the “I have all the time in the world” trap. The reality is you don’t!
The Gift of Choice
Our choices are influenced by a lot of things, such as upbringing, society, or personal values. But we have the choice of how much weight we give each.
Are you living by your values and terms or that of someone else?
Before making choices figure out what you want your life to look like.
How do you see yourself in the future?
Will your choices make you happy and fulfilled?
What do you have to do to achieve the future you see for yourself?
Take time to reflect about those choices and possible outcomes.
You may realize you need to change up your priorities in your life, saying no to things that no longer serve you or drain your energy.
Always remember that daily choices bring about those long term goals you want, so choose wisely.
So as we get into the new year think about how you spend your time and the choices you are making.
Are they giving you the life you dream of on your blank canvas?
